On March 25, 2001 we participated in the Garfield Park Conservatory's Fleurotica 2011, where Chicago's best floral designers created garments made of fresh floral materials. We created two floral designs; "Peacock Blue", a high fashion cocktail dress made of blue orchids, yellow rose petals and peacock feathers; and "Geisha Bride", a floor length geisha inspired bridal kimono made of red rose petals and white pompons, and an oversized obi made of green ti leaves. Our "Geisha Bride" design was dedicated to the people of Japan.

We worked hard for days on our garments and our hard work paid off because we won BEST IN SHOW out of dozens of designs for our "Geisha Bride".
This is only the beginning of our our adventure with "All Things Stylishly in Bloom"
